In this class, I taught the students how to upload their Microsoft Word book document to Lulu.com to have it professionally printed. First, I created a new account on Lulu.com. Then I created a new paperback book project. I showed the different book printing sizes and options. Then I uploaded a sample Microsoft Word document. I also showed how to use Lulu’s book cover designer. Finally, I showed how Lulu automatically creates an online product page where people can read snippets of your book, read or post ratings and comments, and buy your book.

Tonight, I showed how to create a WordPress account on WPWebHost. This service offers WordPress hosting for about $5 to $8 a month which is a very good price.

Every book author, whether published or self-published, must market and promote their book. This isn’t as hard as it sounds. It’s just a matter of turning your passion for your topic into a vocal passion that is focused on marketing, sales and promotion. In the final teaching class of the Book Writing course, I taught the class 15 powerful ways to market, promote and sell their new book.

In this class, I taught about self-publishing and compared it to various publishing options. It can be difficult to become published through a book company unless you meet certain criteria. A paragraph is a collection of sentences related to a single idea, statement or topic. A paragraph explains a chapter’s sub-heading, just like a sub-heading explains a book’s chapter. Everything you’ve learned about using chapters and sub-headings to sequentially explain teaching concepts or events in an autobiography also applies to paragraphs.
