Writing Accountability Partners are a great resource for aspiring book authors. In this session, I taught the students the benefits of writing partners, how the partners can coach the author and ask “dangerous questions”, and I demonstrated a coaching session with author Heather Wiese.

Benefits of a Writing Accountability Partner
Hold you accountable to your book-writing goals
Help you solve problems as you’re writing
Brainstorm ideas with you
Read your writing and help you ensure it’s the best you can produce
Motivate you to meet your goals because of weekly accountability meetings
Inspire you or stir up your passion when you’re bogged down in details
Celebrate with you when you meet goals or reach milestones
Encourage you, build you up, and cheer you on!
Can take notes for you if you have trouble staring at a computer screen and need to speak your thoughts out loud
Each week, your writing accountability partner should ask you these basic accountability questions:
What progress have you made since our last meeting?
Cheri, I let the class choose their own partners. By popular request, I had everyone get into one of five or six different groups such as adult fiction, children’s fiction, non-fiction teaching book, autobiography, etc. This way, people could choose partners from people who were writing a similar book.
I’m sure there will be others who will be at class next Tuesday who also weren’t able to make it last week. I’ll add a reminder to my notes to have each of you partner up.
Aaron,
I have to say that this week’s writing class was the most enjoyable. It was so exciting to share my ideas and listen to another person’s passion for God and her topic. Many thanks for your contributions to my life and the church.
Regards,
Benjamin
Benjamin, thanks for the encouraging feedback! I’m always curious after each class to know how it was received. I’m happy to hear that this will be a fun and useful resource for you.
I have attempted to print the PDF homework assignments from your website but an not able to. When I go to print, a fax application comes up. I just joined the class this past Tuesday and would like to get and complete all previous homework assignments. Any help with this would be appreciated.

Aaron:
Did you assign partners? I was not able to attend. I will be back this next week.
Blessings,
Cheri
